Sociable x Old School Giveaway Terms & Conditions

PROMOTER & PARTNER

1. Promoter: Ubiquity Applications (Pty) Ltd (Reg. No. 2020/686084/07) trading as Sociable (“Promoter”).
2. Partner: Old School Rugby Jerseys (Pty) Ltd (“Old School”).

PROMOTION PERIOD

1. Starts 00:00 SAST on January 20th 2026 and ends 23:59 SAST on February 19th 2026.

ELIGIBILITY

1. Open only to natural persons aged 18 years or older with a valid Sociable account in good standing.
2. Employees, officers, directors, agents or consultants of the Promoter, Old School, or any entity involved in prize fulfilment or promotion administration (and their immediate family members) are ineligible.
   

ENTRY MECHANISM

1. To earn an entry, an entrant must:
   1. Register as “attending” any Sociable‑listed event (free or paid) via the Sociable app within the Promotion Period; and
   2. Physically attend that same event on the scheduled date.
   3. Post a public memory (image) on Sociable linked to that attended event within the Promotion Period; and
   4. Be following both @thesociableapp and @oldschool_ltd on Instagram at the time of winner verification.
2. Each valid memory posted constitutes one (1) entry, limited to one memory per event per entrant.
3. Entries that are incomplete, illegible, or submitted by non‑eligible persons will be disqualified.
4. The Promoter is not the organiser or host of any events. All events, including their availability, scheduling, and venue, are at the sole discretion of individual event hosts. The Promoter accepts no liability for the number, timing, cancellation or modification of events listed on the Sociable app.
   

PRIZE

1. One (1) winner will receive a physical Old School voucher to the value of R3,500 (Three Thousand Five Hundred Rands Only).
2. The prize:
   1. Is redeemable at Old School retail stores in South Africa only;
   2. Cannot be used in conjunction with any other promotion or discount unless expressly permitted by Old School.
   3. Must be redeemed within eight (8) months from the date of issue;
   4. Is non-transferable, non-redeemable for cash, and cannot be sold, exchanged, or substituted.

Any unused portion after the expiry date will be forfeited.

Disqualification

1. The Promoter may disqualify any entrant for tampering, fraud, misrepresentation, posting inappropriate content, or breach of these Terms and Conditions.

WINNER SELECTION & NOTIFICATION

1. On or after February 20th 2026, one (1) valid entry will be selected by electronic randomisation.
2. The winner will be notified via the email address and in-app notification linked to their Sociable account within five (5) business days of the draw.
3. If the winner fails to respond or claim the prize within ten (10) calendar days of notification, the prize will be forfeited and an alternate winner will be selected by the same random process.
   

Publicity & Data Use

1. Entrants agree that the Promoter may share winner details with Old School for the sole purpose of prize fulfilment.
2. By entering, each entrant consents to the Promoter and Old School using their name, image, likeness, and submitted content for promotional purposes in any media, without further compensation.
3. By submitting a memory, entrants warrant that the content is original, that they own all rights in the content, and that they have obtained all necessary permissions and consents from any individuals depicted. Entrants agree to indemnify the Promoter and Old School against any claims arising from breach of this warranty.

INSTAGRAM DISCLAIMER

1. This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Instagram. By participating, entrants release Instagram from any liability arising from or in connection with this promotion.
   

General Conditions & Liability

1. The Promoter and Old School make no warranties, express or implied, regarding the prize and disclaim all liability for any injury, loss, or damage arising from participation or use of the prize, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
2. The Promoter and Old School will not be responsible for any unauthorised, lost, late, incomplete, or misdirected entries, nor for any technical failures, human error, or other issues that may occur.
3. Entrants release and hold harmless the Promoter, Old School, and their respective agents, affiliates, directors, officers, and employees from any and all claims, losses, or liabilities arising in connection with this giveaway.
4. The winner is solely responsible for any taxes, fees, or duties imposed as a result of accepting the prize, if applicable.

App Access and Device Compatibility

1. To enter, participants must have a valid and active Sociable account.
2. The Sociable app requires a compatible smart device and is not supported on all operating systems or device types (including, but not limited to, some Huawei devices)
3. It is the sole responsibility of the participant to ensure they have the necessary device compatibility and app access.
4. Sociable (and its affiliates, partners, and sponsors) will not be held liable for any inability to enter or participate in the Promotion due to device incompatibility, technical limitations, operating system restrictions, or account access issues

INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

All giveaway and promotional materials remain the exclusive property of the Promoter and Old School. No entrant shall acquire any right, title or interest therein.

Force Majeure

The Promoter and Old School reserve the right, in their sole discretion, to modify, suspend, cancel or terminate the giveaway, or to disqualify any entrant, should any cause beyond their reasonable control (including but not limited to acts of God, terrorism, pandemic, civil disturbance, strikes, or technical failures) corrupt the administration, security or proper play of the giveaway.

Dispute Resolution & Governing Law

This Agreement shall be construed and governed by the laws of South Africa and the Parties hereby irrevocably submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of South Africa.

Severability and Amendment

1. If any provision is held invalid, the remaining provisions shall remain in force.
2. The Promoter may amend these Terms and Conditions; material amendments will be notified via the Sociable app or website
